- Sets tables in designated areas with precision, using clean linens, polished silverware, intact china, and spotless glassware. Ensures condiments are clean and filled appropriately.
- Possesses knowledge of the menu for each event and can articulate key ingredients and preparation methods for all served items.
- Keeps service stations organized and clean during events, regularly checking on guests and replenishing items as necessary.
- Assists lead servers in dismantling tables and food service setups as required.
- Prepares and serves coffee breaks, receptions, and other functions as directed, adhering to established protocols.
- Completes assigned side tasks, such as restocking condiments, organizing linens, and maintaining serving equipment.
- Supports management and lead servers in event setups while enforcing all policies and procedures, extending courtesy to all individuals.
- Adheres to company service standards as outlined for Westin Hotels.
- Projects a positive image of Westin Washington Dulles Airport to the public consistently.
- Performs all duties efficiently and in accordance with established policies to meet the overall objectives of the role.
- Treats guests, vendors, and colleagues with respect and professionalism at all times.
- Completes all required training as assigned by the department and company standards.
- Maintains a clean and professional appearance consistently.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Complies with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding the service of alcoholic beverages.
