Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team at Colonial Heritage Club. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing food items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare food items ahead of time as requested, ensuring accurate estimates and minimizing waste.
  • Return all unused food items to designated storage areas, labeling and dating perishables as required.
  • Assist in identifying and addressing food cost problems, implementing strategies to control waste and optimize usage.
  • Date and rotate food containers, maintaining proper temperatures and storage procedures.
  • Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, and set up line equipment.
  • Receive and unpack food vendor deliveries, dating and storing items according to department standards.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required.
  • Minimum two years of restaurant or kitchen experience preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
