Position Overview:
This role operates during night shifts from 7PM to 7AM, following a rotating schedule of 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, and 3 days off.

Insight Global is seeking a Maintenance Shift Leader for a client in the aerospace manufacturing sector, located in Cleveland, OH.

Role Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Supervisor serves as the primary authority within the manufacturing facility, offering leadership, guidance, and clear directives to ensure a safe working environment while meeting production demands, addressing issues, minimizing waste, and achieving operational goals.

Key Functions:
- Plan, supervise, and coordinate daily maintenance activities for the facility, machinery, and equipment.
- Foster collaboration and build relationships to effectively resolve challenges.
- Utilize lean manufacturing principles to enhance operational efficiency.
- Train, develop, and inspire team members to reach their full potential.

Major Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex maintenance issues and recurring equipment failures.
- Manage team performance with a focus on quality, safety, and timely delivery.
- Ensure equitable distribution of tasks among crew members and assign responsibilities in line with departmental guidelines.
- Determine staffing needs for both planned and unexpected situations based on various factors such as absences and equipment availability.
- Identify and implement opportunities for waste reduction through problem-solving initiatives.
- Oversee maintenance procedures and direct workers in operational protocols.
- Order necessary materials and supplies for the maintenance department.
- Monitor departmental performance metrics to track progress towards objectives.

Leadership and Safety:
- Supervise maintenance staff involved in the setup, installation, repair, and upkeep of machinery and equipment.
- Assess training requirements and facilitate employee development.
- Take prompt corrective actions as needed, including attendance issues.
- Lead maintenance teams in swiftly addressing breakdown incidents.
- Ensure that all tasks completed during the shift are done efficiently to maintain optimal equipment operation.

- Collaborate with maintenance technicians to apply root cause analysis and rapid problem-solving techniques to identify and eliminate fundamental issues.
- Provide challenging assignments and training opportunities to foster individual growth within the organization.

Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree.
- Proven experience in a skilled trade, such as electrician or maintenance technician.
- Background in mechanical technician roles involving PLCs and robotics.
- Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Familiarity with MS or Oracle systems is advantageous.
- Experience in a unionized environment is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
- A minimum of 1 year in a team management role (supervisory experience preferred).
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Willingness to work night shifts from 7PM to 7AM on a rotating schedule.
