Job Summary:
This position is responsible for ensuring the safe operation, daily monitoring, and maintenance of the facility, including automatic retrieval systems, dock equipment, and minor repairs related to electrical devices and plumbing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Understand controls and electrical systems (high and low voltage) in compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70 National Electrical Code and NFPA 70E electrical safety requirements.
  • Conduct electrical meter testing and understand OSHA electrical Arc Flash requirements.
  • Possess knowledge of PLCs (programmable logic controllers) and troubleshooting.
  • Complete minor welding tasks as necessary.
  • Assist with special projects related to building maintenance.
  • Perform general maintenance including light carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
  • Maintain facility assets through scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Conduct inspections and repairs on concrete, asphalt, and product racking.
  • Manage dock equipment inspections and repairs.
  • Log time and materials in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Participate in refrigeration operator duties and maintain all tools in safe working order.
  • Respond to emergencies to ensure safety.
  • Promote a culture of safety within the department.
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Build effective relationships and demonstrate cooperation.

Qualifications:
Education:
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Facility maintenance technical training preferred.
Experience:
  • Three to four years of experience in industrial facility maintenance.
  • Refrigeration Operator certification preferred.
Skills:
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and regulations.
  • Proficient in basic mathematical calculations.
Certifications:
  • Valid state driver's license required.
  • Completion of a defensive driving program.
  • Powered Industrial Equipment Certification within three months.
  • Electrical Arc Flash training preferred.
  • Trade electrical training preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to communicate effectively.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds.

Working Environment:
  • Exposure to varying temperatures and conditions.
  • Non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends may be required.
  • Occasional travel may be necessary for training or business needs.
