Job Responsibilities:
This Operations role is responsible for ensuring the safe operation, daily monitoring, and maintenance of the facility, including automatic retrieval systems, dock equipment, and minor repairs of electrical devices and plumbing.

Key Duties:
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Possess knowledge of electrical controls (high and low voltage) and OSHA electrical safety standards.
  • Understand and apply the NFPA 70 National Electrical Code and NFPA 70E electrical safety requirements.
  • Conduct electrical meter testing and understand PLC troubleshooting.
  • Perform small welding tasks as necessary.
  • Complete special projects related to building maintenance, including moving furniture and changing lights.
  • Address general maintenance needs, including light carpentry, plumbing, and minor electrical repairs.
  • Maintain facility assets through scheduled preventative maintenance, including roof and paving inspections.
  • Inspect and repair product racking and automatic storage systems.
  • Log time and materials in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Participate in the on-call program as required.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in a clean and safe condition.
  • Respond to emergencies to ensure safety.
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications:
Education:
  • High School diploma or GED; facility maintenance tech school preferred.
Experience:
  • Three to four years of experience in industrial facility maintenance or a related field.
Skills:
  • Ability to interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.
  • Proficient in basic math and measurement.
Certifications:
  • Valid state Driver's License and proof of liability coverage.
  • Completion of Sysco-approved defensive driving program.
  • Powered Industrial Equipment Certification within three months.

Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, and use hands.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Working Environment:
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions and mechanical parts.
  • Non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends may be required.
