Position Overview

We are looking for a dependable and proactive individual to become a part of our Facilities Operations team as a Facilities Maintenance Technician. This position is essential in ensuring the effective operation and enhancement of our facilities. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will undertake a range of responsibilities, from general labor tasks to supporting facility enhancement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance activities, including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs to uphold the facility's cleanliness and operational efficiency.
  • Assist in the upkeep of outdoor spaces, which encompasses lawn maintenance, landscaping, and snow removal as required.
  • Operate and maintain essential facility tools and equipment, such as lawn mowers, power washers, and various hand tools.
  • Collaborate with the Facilities Operations team on diverse projects, including renovations, installations, and upgrades.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance tasks, equipment usage, and inventory levels when necessary.
  • Be adaptable to shifting work priorities and assist with additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives within the program/agency.
  • Uphold high standards of ethical and professional conduct, particularly regarding client confidentiality and privacy.
  • Comply with the policies and procedures governing the program and agency, consulting with relevant administrative staff on potential risks.
  • Foster positive relationships with colleagues and other departments within the organization.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the agency's mission.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED. Previous experience or training in facility maintenance is advantageous, along with a foundational understanding of basic building maintenance. A keen attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines are essential. Strong communication skills and the capacity to work collaboratively with others are required.
