- Issue room keys and provide escort instructions to guests, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.
- Sort and track incoming mail and messages, ensuring timely delivery to guests.
- Transmit and receive messages using all communication avenues, including phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Answer inquiries regarding hotel services, guest registration, and local shopping, dining, and entertainment options.
- Maintain accurate records of room availability and rates, ensuring up-to-date information for guests and staff.
- Compute bills, collect payments, and make change for guests, ensuring accurate financial transactions.
- Make, confirm, and cancel reservations via all communication avenues, ensuring seamless guest experiences.
- Post charges for room, food, liquor, or telephone services to guest bills, if necessary.
- Make reservations for guests, including transportation and entertainment options.
- Deposit guest valuables in the hotel safe deposit box, ensuring secure storage.
- Utilize various office software to perform tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Develop a comprehensive knowledge of each shift, including night audit procedures.
- Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
- Ability to accurately report information and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to assist with various office tasks as needed, ensuring a seamless work environment.
- Ability to scrupulously follow all StepStone and hotel policies and procedures.
- Attend required meetings and participate in ongoing training and development.
- Projects and assignments must be completed thoroughly, professionally, and with care.
- Ability to adjust to high-pressure conditions and be open to change.
- Assume responsibility for personal growth and development, seeking opportunities for improvement.
- Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.
- Must possess good mathematical and computer skills.
- High school education required; relevant training and experience, as well as additional education, are preferred.
- CPR and first aid training are preferred.
- Additional language ability is preferred.
