Job Overview:
This position is hosted by Jobot. We are seeking a qualified Controller to join our team at a leading Plant-Based Nutrition brand primarily distributed through natural products retail channels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Oversight: Manage financial operations and ensure accuracy in accounting practices.
  • System Management: Maintain a deep understanding of accounting systems, including General Ledger management.
  • Operational Efficiency: Enhance the productivity of finance-related activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial reporting.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with HR and IT departments regarding payroll and benefits.
  • External Coordination: Liaise with external accountants for year-end reviews and tax matters.
  • Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
  • Reporting: Ensure timely financial reporting and develop comprehensive operating reports for executive review.
  • Budgeting: Lead the budget development process and related activities.
  • Process Improvement: Drive the documentation and enhancement of accounting processes.
  • Training: Provide guidance and training for accounting staff.

Reporting Structure:
The Controller will report directly to the CEO and collaborate with various team members.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, particularly in manufacturing or distribution of consumer-packaged goods.
