Position: Early Childhood Education Coordinator
SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated professional to ensure a secure, nurturing, and high-quality educational atmosphere for children and their families while meticulously maintaining records of services provided.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
The Early Childhood Education Coordinator reports to the designated Coach and Director of Early Childhood Programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Establish and uphold a safe, healthy, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
  • Develop and implement daily lesson plans tailored to the individual needs of children, encompassing all elements of the daily routine.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation regarding children and their families.
  • Encourage and facilitate parental involvement through various activities, including field trips, volunteer opportunities, and conferences.
  • Track and communicate children's developmental progress using established observation methods.
  • Conduct and report on developmental assessments within the required timeframe upon children's enrollment.
  • Observe and document children's interactions and activities through detailed notes.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Prepare and serve meals, ensuring proper documentation as needed.
  • Record any contributions made to the classroom.
  • Participate in meetings and program functions as required.
  • Adhere to all relevant policies, guidelines, and regulations.
  • Provide support to other roles as necessary.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by the Director or designated personnel.
  • Engage in professional development training as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred (or commitment to obtain relevant credentials within one year of hire).
  • Experience working with young children is essential.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
  • Ability to apply current research and theoretical knowledge in early childhood education.
  • Proficient in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, staff, and the community.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Awareness of district requirements and educational policies.
  • Proficient in using MS Office Suite and email.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • All staff must be fully vaccinated as mandated by relevant authorities.
