Job Summary

The Space Management Specialist manages all aspects of the Tulane building and space use inventory, ensuring seamless integration with university campus-wide strategic initiatives and master plans. This role identifies opportunities for space efficiency and improvements in utilization to best meet university-wide program priorities.

This position coordinates existing inventory allocations, updates, and requests for space, linking it to the university budget model. The Specialist plans and conceptualizes space use changes or improvements, and/or assists in planning and design for reconfigured or new space, as directed.

This role serves as the main point of contact for requesting units and university leadership, providing space use statistics, customized analysis, space data reporting, and floor plans to campus departments. The Specialist also provides relocation planning and sequencing assistance.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Interior Design, or Real Estate Management
  • 5 years of practical experience in planning, architecture, real estate management, or related areas
