Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Program Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading complex development projects, working closely with management and business leaders to create program scope, objectives, and risk assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and facilitate execution and operating mechanisms coordinated with business cadence.
  • Work closely with product marketing to finalize and document customer and product requirements.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of the core cross-functional team to ensure that the project progresses on schedule and within budget while meeting established system requirements.
  • Confer with project team leaders to develop plans and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
  • Review status reports prepared by project team leaders and combines information into a program status report to present and/or submit to management and others.
  • Confer with program personnel to provide technical advice and problem resolution.
  • Prepare and/or facilitate development of program objectives, milestones, meeting minutes, risk assessment meetings, escalation meetings, design reviews, and design changes.
  • Work on process improvement initiatives related to New Product Development (NPD) or Cost Reduction processes.
  • Work with sourcing, engineering, manufacturing, supplier development engineers (SDE), and external partners (suppliers/vendors) with project execution.
  • Travel up to 20% to start for building relationships and network with Division and Factory Engineering and Operations teams.

Requirements:

  • BS degree, Engineering discipline preferred with 5 plus years of related experience.
  • MBA, additional project management training or PMP certification a plus.
  • Experience leading one or more complex development projects.
  • Experience working with product development and cost reduction processes.
  • Experience working with virtual and offshore teams preferred.
  • Experience with HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration) systems preferred.
  • Six Sigma or Lean certification preferred.
