Key Responsibilities:
This essential role encompasses all front desk operations, including delivering exceptional customer service, managing patient check-ins and check-outs, scheduling appointments, handling referrals, verifying insurance, obtaining authorizations, and collecting payments.
- Greet and welcome patients warmly.
- Check patients in and out for their appointments, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and complete.
- Answer phone calls courteously and direct patients to the appropriate personnel or department.
- Accurately register patients and create accounts within our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
- Efficiently schedule appointments for both new and returning patients.
- Perform routine administrative tasks promptly, including preparing patient charts, verifying insurance, and processing payments.
- Complete opening and closing duties as well as other assigned tasks.
- Exhibit outstanding customer service while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic office skills (telephone, filing, data entry) along with fundamental math skills.
- Exceptional telephone etiquette, a friendly demeanor, and excellent customer service abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; capable of effectively conveying information.
- Previous experience in a similar position is preferred but not mandatory.
