As an Environmental Services Director at Crothall Healthcare, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational needs of the Housekeeping Department. Key Responsibilities:- Manage departmental financial data and statistics to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting.
- Monitor unit expenditures to optimize resource allocation.
- Develop and recommend department operating budgets to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Coordinate housekeeping activities with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Act as a liaison between administration and hospital departments to facilitate communication and resolve issues.
- Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and supervise functions and activities of the department to achieve optimal performance.
- Establish work standards and workflow to ensure efficient operations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for departmental operations to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Encourage and mentor staff creativity and innovation to drive business growth.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Proactively achieve facility goals and objectives through effective leadership and management.
- Demonstrate quality leadership in meeting performance plans to drive business success.
- Develop and administer Total Quality Management processes to drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain job descriptions for department staff to ensure clarity and accuracy.
- Encourage staff participation in education programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Four-year college degree and equal related experience required.
- Six years of housekeeping management experience at a healthcare account required.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial and other data to inform business decisions.
- General business acumen to drive business growth and success.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with staff, administration, and hospital departments.
- High customer service and quality attitude to drive business success.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet established goals and objectives.
- Public speaking skills to effectively communicate with staff and stakeholders.
- Ability to utilize a participative approach to managing staff, to organize and prioritize tasks, and to develop budgets with a complete understanding of facility needs and requirements.
- Excellent stress management skills, administrative and organizational, and follow-through (with associates and clients) skills required.
- Proficient in the use of Windows-based office software, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
