Job Title: Assistant Director of Marketing

Join our team as an Assistant Director of Marketing and play a key role in promoting the University of South Carolina's resources, services, and products to a wide range of audiences.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced marketing professional to join our team as an Assistant Director of Marketing. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing marketing plans and initiatives that support the division's strategic needs and appeal to diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of a comprehensive marketing program that supports Student Affairs and Academic Support strategic priorities and addresses audience needs.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and collaborate with communications and marketing team members to ensure work aligns with broader division goals.
  • Plan and execute high-quality work through a variety of activities, including advertising, digital marketing, and marketing communications.
  • Collaborate with communications and marketing staff members and stakeholders to identify key messages and to ensure consistency, coordination, and alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Ensure quality and consistency of design aesthetics and determine project needs and priorities as they relate to creative briefs, strategic communications plans, and other relevant planning documents.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field.
  • 2 or more years of experience in marketing, public relations, communications, or related roles.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt content for different audiences and platforms.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
