Project and Applications Engineer

Location: Santa Monica, CA

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to evaluate and develop technical propositions that enhance design performance and reliability.
  • Investigate interconnections, modifying existing design concepts to suit each site.
  • Work with switchgear manufacturers to create innovative designs and cost-effective solutions scalable to multiple jobs and customer sites, encompassing various voltage levels.
  • Manage engineering consultants in preparing detailed engineering and construction drawings and specifications.
Requirements:
  • Expertise in designing and constructing renewable energy projects, particularly Solar and Battery Storage systems.
  • Knowledge of Distributed Energy Resources and their integration within a Microgrid to enhance efficiency.
  • Familiarity with emission standards from both utility operations and DERs.
  • Understanding of control systems for DERs and how they can be leveraged to achieve specific operational goals, providing economic benefits to both the company and clients.
  • Experience in submitting interconnection applications and analyzing utility reports, including Detailed, Facility, and System Impact Studies.
  • Strong communication skills to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring project success.
