POSITION SUMMARY: The food service cashier is tasked with managing guest orders, processing payments, and delivering meals to tables. Compensation includes a base wage plus tips.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prioritize guest satisfaction at all times, employing tact, courtesy, and sound judgment in all interactions.
  • Warmly welcome guests upon arrival, making eye contact and smiling.
  • Accurately take orders, ensuring prompt and precise service while educating guests on menu items and suggesting additional offerings when suitable.
  • Input orders accurately into the POS system.
  • Manage the cash register and process guest payments.
  • Deliver orders to guests, confirming details for accuracy.
  • Express gratitude to guests and encourage their return.
  • Handle phone inquiries, assisting with takeout orders.
  • Relay guest feedback to management.
  • Address guest concerns respectfully and promptly.
  • Understand and communicate in-store promotions.
  • Assist with the rollout of new products, including sales and execution.
  • Follow cash control procedures.
  • Participate in routine cleaning tasks, including maintaining the cashier area and bussing tables.
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
  • Friendly demeanor with a strong focus on guest service.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Proficient in using a Point of Sale system.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
  • Team-oriented attitude.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • No specific educational or experiential prerequisites for this position.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Capability to stand or walk for up to 8 hours daily.
  • Able to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 lbs.
  • Frequent reaching, bending, lifting, and fine manipulation throughout shifts.
  • Ability to work in varying temperature environments, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Capable of tolerating elevated noise levels from restaurant equipment, music, and patrons.
  • Must manage potential allergens such as peanuts, eggs, dairy, gluten, soy, and seafood.
UNIFORM:
  • Employees are expected to maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance, including wearing a clean uniform, practicing good personal hygiene, and keeping nails well-groomed.
