Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sign Language Facilitator to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of interpreting experience and a passion for supporting the communication needs of our diverse student population.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation during classroom sessions, school functions, and extracurricular activities.
  • Enhance communication between deaf and hard-of-hearing students and their classmates, educators, and staff members.
  • Work collaboratively with educational professionals to promote student achievement and inclusivity.
  • Assist in modifying educational resources to ensure accessibility for all students.
Qualifications:
  • Must possess an EIPA score of 3.0 or above.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in both ASL and English.
  • Comprehensive understanding of deaf culture and best practices in educational interpreting.
  • Exceptional multitasking abilities and adaptability in a dynamic school setting.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced educational environment.
