Technical Project/Program Manager

At Marr Labs (YC W24), we're seeking a highly skilled Technical Project/Program Manager to oversee and drive the success of our customer-specific projects and internal R&D initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Management: Lead and manage multiple customer projects and internal R&D initiatives, from initiation through delivery. Develop detailed project plans, set milestones, and track progress to ensure timely and successful project completion.
  2. Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively, and provide regular updates to senior management and clients.
  3. Technical Oversight: Leverage your technical background to understand project requirements, guide technical teams, and ensure that deliverables meet quality and performance standards.
  4. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively address issues and obstacles that may impact project timelines or objectives.
  5. Process Improvement: Implement best practices and continuous improvement processes to enhance project management efficiency and effectiveness.
  6. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product management, and other teams to ensure alignment and coordination across all project phases.
  7. Customer Engagement: Understand client needs and expectations, and ensure that projects meet or exceed customer satisfaction. Manage client relationships to foster trust and long-term partnerships.
Qualifications:
  1. Experience: 8+ years of experience in project/program management, with a proven track record of managing complex, technical projects.
  2. Technical Background: Strong technical knowledge and experience in AI, software development, or related fields. Ability to understand and translate technical requirements into actionable project plans.
  3. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile) are a plus.
