Job Summary

Altom Transport is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Driver Trainer and Recruiter to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for administering a combination of classroom and on-the-job training to our drivers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs to ensure our drivers are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to operate commercial motor vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct regular training sessions, including classroom instruction and on-the-job training, to ensure our drivers are up-to-date on the latest regulations and best practices.
  • Identify and address training needs of applicants and adjust training to ensure those needs are resolved.
  • Collaborate with our operations team to ensure our drivers are compliant with all Department of Transportation rules and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with our drivers to ensure they have the support and resources they need to succeed in their roles.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven background in safety, transportation, and compliance, with a focus on commercial motor vehicles.
  • In-depth understanding of DOT rules and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
