The Operations Supervisor is accountable for overseeing Quality and Service protocols within the establishment. This role involves mentoring and guiding team members to ensure the delivery of exceptional food quality and friendly service. The Operations Supervisor may take charge of opening or closing the establishment in the absence of a senior Manager, ensuring a seamless transition by fulfilling administrative duties while prioritizing the safety and security of our team, patrons, and assets.
Key Qualifications:
- Ability to perform essential job functions safely while achieving productivity benchmarks.
- Capable of standing and/or walking for the entire duration of the shift.
- Able to lift weights up to 50 pounds on occasion.
- Occasional bending and twisting required.
- Minimum of 1-year experience in a supervisory or managerial role or equivalent experience.
- Successful completion of the Management in Training Program and all related certifications, along with e-learning modules and food safety courses.
- Competent in executing all items on the Operations Supervisor readiness checklist.
Responsibilities:
- Engages with customers attentively and enthusiastically.
- Proactively identifies customer needs at all service points and addresses any potential service obstacles.
- Exhibits care and empathy towards customers, following appropriate procedures for resolving issues.
- Ensures the team embodies all elements of the service standards.
- Enhances team morale through enthusiasm and commitment in both words and actions.
- Properly trains new team members to adhere to standards and processes, helping them understand their roles in fulfilling the mission and values.
- Guarantees accurate and timely order fulfillment for customers.
- Oversees shift operations including pre/post-shift checklists and planning.
- Understands and instructs on key drivers for a positive work environment and operational efficiency.
- Models performance expectations, primarily directing and coaching, while also assisting as needed.
- Takes personal accountability for managing product quality, service excellence, and operational success.
- Manages food, labor, and costs through effective training and coaching.
- Responds promptly to changes in staffing needs based on business volume.
- Controls food cost factors including waste, preparation, portioning, and theft during shifts.
- Demonstrates, trains, and enforces operational standards, including uniform policies, attendance, safety protocols, and cleanliness.
- Understands and educates team members on all relevant labor regulations.
- Handles opening and/or closing procedures with appropriate administrative practices and completes necessary documentation.
- Trains and enforces proper cash handling procedures.
- Takes responsibility for inventory management, vendor orders, and invoice processing.
- Ensures team members comprehend and adhere to food safety and personal hygiene standards mandated by the organization and local health authorities.
- Effectively manages personnel, products, and equipment to fulfill the mission and promises of the establishment.
- Utilizes proper security and verification methods when managing financial transactions.
- Employs pre-shift and shift tools to ensure optimal product quality.
- Manages dough and freshness indicators to maintain quality standards.
- Adheres to and enforces food safety and sanitation regulations.
