Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Automation Engineer to join our team at Hire Military Talent. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, testing, and supervising control, electrical, and automation systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop control systems and instrumentation equipment, including electrical control panels.
  • Conduct analytical assessments and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
  • Lead projects independently, ensuring timely completion and quality results.
  • Assist with installation and commissioning tasks, providing technical support as needed.
  • Modify and upgrade existing systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Familiarity with PLC/SCADA software, including Siemens Step 7/WinCC/TIA Portal and Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley RSLogix5000.
  • Background in computer programming, with experience in languages such as C++, Java, or Python.
  • Understanding of hazardous area equipment and installation requirements, including ATEX, IECEx, NEC, NFPA, and DNV, ABS, API, and MODU codes/standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in electrical controls automation.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and report writing skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, co-workers, and management.
  • Proactive problem-solving approach, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Proficiency in various computer skills, including the use of MS-Office Suite and CAD design software.
