Job Summary

DSJ Global is seeking a highly skilled Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our chemical manufacturing processes by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment, including pumps, motors, conveyors, valves, mixers, and control systems.
  • Electrical Systems: Inspect, test, and maintain electrical systems and components, such as motors, transformers, circuit breakers, and wiring, to ensure proper functioning and safety.
  • Mechanical Systems: Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems, gearboxes, and other mechanical components.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or replacements to minimize production downtime and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and other safety regulations.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment status, in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process and equipment improvements and work with the maintenance team to implement changes that enhance reliability and efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with production and engineering teams to support plant operations and ensure smooth production processes.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies, providing technical expertise to restore operations as quickly as possible.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electrical or mechanical maintenance is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including troubleshooting and repair techniques.
  • Experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), and other control systems is highly desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations, including OSHA standards and chemical handling procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed to support plant operations.
