About the Role

Evidence Action is a non-profit organization dedicated to scaling proven solutions to global health issues. We are seeking a skilled Development Manager to join our External Relations team, driving individual fundraising strategy and expanding key revenue streams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cultivate and steward donors to Evidence Action, securing gifts ranging from $10,000 to $100,000.
  • Develop and execute individualized donor engagement strategies to retain and grow giving in the portfolio.
  • Prepare senior management for engagement with donors and prospects.
  • Create compelling communications, including proposals, impact reports, and acknowledgements.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Evidence Action's programs and fundraising priorities.
Fundraising Strategy and Project Management
  • Strategize to increase revenue from identified growth areas, including new audiences.
  • Create reports to analyze individual giving and track progress against fundraising targets.
  • Develop systems for project management and coordination, including processes related to development operations and donor engagement.
Requirements
  • 5-7 years' experience with fundraising, communications, or business development, including 3 years of progressive experience with direct fundraising and donor relationship management responsibilities.
  • A track record of activating donors and closing 5-figure gifts.
  • Experience communicating with high-value donors and prospects, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and iterate in real-time, employing data for decision-making and innovation.
