Role Summary
The primary responsibility of this role is to uphold the cleanliness and sanitation of guest accommodations, corridors, elevators, and other designated areas. The individual will also be tasked with delivering items to guest rooms as needed. This position requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and organized environment by performing daily cleaning tasks in guest rooms and public areas.
- Handle linens and waste disposal in accordance with established procedures.
- Inspect and clean all areas of the guest room, including under furniture and in closets.
- Ensure floors are free from debris through vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping.
- Dust and sanitize furniture, fixtures, and surfaces to ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
- Report any maintenance issues or lost items to the appropriate supervisor.
- Respond courteously to guest requests and concerns, ensuring a positive experience.
- Ability to adapt to varying workloads based on hotel occupancy.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Capable of maintaining composure under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality service.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Respect for guest confidentiality and hotel policies.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospitality role or similar environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- High School diploma or GED required; higher education preferred.
- Knowledge of safety and security protocols within a hospitality setting.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Energetic and outgoing personality with strong interpersonal skills.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined in the Associate Handbook.
- Demonstrate knowledge of safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
