Position Overview:
The Guest Service Agent (On-Call) plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service to all guests during their stay. This position is responsible for ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process while maximizing room revenue and occupancy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests warmly at the Front Desk, adhering to Alohilani Resort standards.
  • Manage the PBX console efficiently and uphold hotel service standards.
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries regarding hotel amenities and services.
  • Ensure the accurate logging and delivery of packages, mail, and messages.
  • Review daily Front Office logs and Trace Files for operational efficiency.
  • Provide information about local attractions, dining, and entertainment options.
  • Adhere to cash handling and credit policies diligently.
  • Stay informed about current rates, packages, and promotions.
  • Maintain familiarity with in-house groups and their requirements.
  • Understand emergency procedures and assist as necessary.
  • Handle check-ins and checkouts with a friendly and efficient demeanor.
  • Communicate effectively with team members using proper radio etiquette.
  • Comprehend and operate all relevant Front Desk computer systems.
  • Complete all tasks on the shift checklist in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and balance paperwork for shift closure according to hotel standards.
  • Promote guest programs and maintain a clean work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant college coursework is beneficial.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or a related field is preferred.
  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Proficiency in computer systems is necessary.
  • Customer service experience is an advantage.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Physical ability to lift and move objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods.
  • Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor at all times.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Participate in all required meetings and training sessions.
  • Adhere to grooming standards and wear the appropriate uniform.
  • Comply with hotel regulations to ensure safe operations.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills and initiative.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Be open to cross-training in other hotel departments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Salary Range: $26.43/hr
