Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety and Compliance Specialist to join our team at GeorgiaGov. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with policy, procedures, state and federal regulations, and standards to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections for compliance with policy, procedures, state and federal regulations, and standards.
  • Gather and enter data records using various monitoring, sampling, and analytical equipment and instruments.
  • Provide guidance and consultation regarding fire safety inspections and other related activities.
  • Plan and coordinate inspections and audits of assigned facilities/sites for procedural compliance and to maintain appropriate accreditation.
  • Monitor and record functionality and location of emergency equipment and other related items.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university OR High school diploma or GED AND Two years of related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of state, OSHA, NFPA, and other safety codes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
