About the Position

This Health and Safety Policy Developer role is a critical part of our team at Disability Solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing guidance to employees on safe working practices.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health and safety regulations, OSHA codes, and emergency response procedures. They will also possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex information to various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and provide guidance to employees on safe working practices.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement safety training programs.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety performance and incident reporting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, OSHA codes, and emergency response procedures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex information to various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
