Manufacturing Operations Manager

The Manufacturing Operations Manager collaborates closely with safety, human resources, and strategic business development teams to design programs that uphold compliance and initiatives while adhering to budget constraints. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of performance and accountability through employee engagement, aimed at enhancing and developing talent capabilities. The manager will serve as the key liaison with both internal and external teams to ensure that the company's quality standards are consistently met, while also maintaining regular communication with all teams to optimize plant performance and collaboratively resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities

The Manufacturing Operations Manager is responsible for a variety of duties, which include:

  • Directing and coordinating daily operations of the manufacturing facility
  • Developing and testing processes to boost productivity, enhance performance, and ensure safety and efficiency
  • Ensuring compliance with legal and safety regulations
  • Overseeing the screening, interviewing, and onboarding processes for new hires
  • Maintaining essential administrative records
  • Providing necessary training and educational resources to staff
  • Monitoring and optimizing machinery and equipment through regular maintenance programs to ensure operational readiness, including repair or replacement as needed
  • Supervising all levels of staff activity and performance
  • Preparing and reviewing production reports

Qualifications
A minimum of 3+ years of demonstrated operational or plant management experience in a construction or manufacturing-related field.

  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for plant operations
  • Proficient in root cause analysis and troubleshooting operational challenges
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications and computer technology
  • Knowledgeable in the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach employees in decision-making and task improvement
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk around the facility for extended periods
