Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and disassemble equipment to ensure proper cleaning and maintenance

• Dispense and use chemicals safely and effectively to maintain a clean and sanitary environment

• Clean all production equipment, including floors, walls, and ceilings, to meet high standards of cleanliness and sanitation

• Maintain standard operating procedures at an exceptional level to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and company policies

• Ensure the prevention of damage when cleaning equipment, including electrical wiring and control panels, to prevent downtime and maintain equipment efficiency

• Apply various chemicals on different equipment and environmental locations to maintain a clean and sanitary environment

• Operate and maintain floor scrubbers to ensure efficient and effective cleaning of floors and other surfaces

• Perform other duties as assigned to support the sanitation and maintenance team

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Must demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)

• Must demonstrate safe working habits and a commitment to maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment

• Must be able to use industrial strength chemicals safely and effectively

• Must be able to understand and demonstrate all Lock Out/Tag Out procedures to ensure equipment safety and efficiency

• Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds frequently and push or pull heavy equipment as needed

• Must have basic mechanical skills and be able to troubleshoot equipment issues

• Must be able to work in a wet and slippery environment and maintain a clean and sanitary work area

• Must possess general knowledge of machine operation and be able to learn and perform all positions

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity and efficiency

• Must have good human relations skills and be able to work effectively with others as part of a team

• Must be able to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed

• Must have excellent attendance and punctuality and be able to work efficiently with little or no supervision

• Must be willing to attend forklift, pallet jack, floor scrubber, and high lift training as needed

• Must be willing to assist other team members in other areas as needed

• Must be able to perform steady and productive work for an extended period of time and maintain a high level of energy and enthusiasm

• Must be able to follow detailed written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

• Must possess basic math skills and be able to perform calculations as needed

• Must show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work and be committed to Publix's mission and values
