Job Summary

Perdue Foods is a leading provider of premium proteins, and we're seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Complex Manager to join our team in Georgetown, DE. As a key member of our Human Resources Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the HR function at both the plant facility and live production operations. This role requires a strong understanding of HR principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective recruiting and selection plans to attract top talent and ensure facilities are adequately staffed.
  • Design and implement processes to reduce turnover and improve employee engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including AAP, EEOC, DOL, DHS, OSHA, and others.
  • Develop and update an annual HR business plan to support the initiatives of field operations.
  • Provide training and coaching to HR staff to ensure they are equipped to handle their responsibilities effectively.
  • Identify and implement new ideas and concepts to drive HR and business forward.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent work experience and a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Proven success in supervising HR functions, including AAP, OSHA, EEOC, DHS, and DOL.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train, coach, and mentor HR staff.
  • Experience with HRIS and a proven track record of developing methods to reduce turnover.
  • Ability to think ahead and plan over a 1 to 3 year time span, with a focus on strategic planning and goal setting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve problems at both a strategic and functional level.
  • Excellent customer orientation, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering results.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
  • This role requires occasional moving to other offices or buildings, with the ability to lift light equipment or supplies as needed.
  • When working in a plant environment, you may be exposed to wet and moist floors, temperatures ranging from 28 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit, and noise levels up to 110 decibels.
  • You must wear and use protective and safety equipment as directed by the Company.
  • Climbing ladders may be required in certain situations.
