E-commerce Operations Manager

Position Summary:
Oceania International is a rapidly expanding E-commerce enterprise in search of a skilled and proactive Operations/Product Support Manager. This role is pivotal in overseeing operational activities to ensure optimal resource utilization. The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting production and customer service objectives through effective planning, coordination, and continuous improvement of labor resources.
The Operations/Product Support Manager will be instrumental in leading our repairs and quality assurance team, fostering communication between our teams in the US and China, and driving operational excellence. This position demands a bilingual professional fluent in both Chinese and English, possessing strong organizational capabilities, a solid understanding of data analysis, and foundational knowledge of warehouse management standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workflows. The role will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and requires flexibility for after-hours meetings with the China team on a regular basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Supervise the repairs and quality assurance team to uphold high standards of product quality and ensure timely repairs.
- Establish and enforce quality control measures and repair protocols.
- Formulate and execute strategies to enhance workflow efficiency while ensuring compliance.
- Evaluate and manage the performance of the quality management team, providing guidance to meet operational targets.
Communication:
- Act as the primary point of contact between US operations and Chinese manufacturing partners.
- Ensure effective communication to align operations seamlessly.
- Conduct regular meetings with the China team, including necessary after-hours discussions.
Reporting and Coordination:
- Report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) with updates on operational performance.
- Collaborate with various departments to synchronize operational activities.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports on operational metrics and areas for enhancement.
Quality Assurance and Repairs:
- Guarantee that all products meet rigorous quality standards prior to customer delivery.
- Oversee the management of repairs and returns, ensuring prompt resolutions.
- Initiate continuous improvement projects to elevate product quality and minimize defects.
Data Analysis:
- Utilize relevant data analytics tools to maintain and optimize operational dashboards.
- Employ data analysis tools to monitor and assess operational metrics.
- Identify trends and opportunities for operational enhancement through data insights.
- Generate actionable recommendations to improve efficiency and streamline operations.
Warehouse Management:
- Maintain an understanding of warehouse management SOPs and workflows.
- Ensure effective and precise warehouse operations, including inventory management and order processing.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse personnel to optimize processes and boost productivity.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, ERP, and WMS systems.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in operations management, quality assurance, or a comparable role.
- Bilingual proficiency in Chinese and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Strong familiarity with data analysis tools and applications (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
- Basic understanding of warehouse management principles, SOPs, and workflows.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to participate in after-hours meetings with the China team as needed.
