Hotel Front Desk Clerk Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and professional Hotel Front Desk Clerk to join our team at Wyndham Property. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:
  • Guest Registration: Process guest registrations, including collecting payments and deposits, and ensuring accurate and efficient check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Guest Issues: Handle any guest issues or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, providing solutions and resolving problems to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with Maintenance and Housekeeping staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination of guest requests and issues.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with the General Manager to resolve any payment or guest room issues, and respond to guest needs, special requests, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Nightly Duties: Perform nightly duties, including running night reports, maintaining room status inventory, and communicating shift information to the changing shift and General Manager.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: At least 2 years of Hotel Front Desk experience required.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Transportation: Must have own reliable transportation.
  • Skills: Professional and able to handle guest situations, computer literate, and able to operate basic office machines.
  • Time Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills required.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to handle guest situations with problem resolution.
