Medical Laboratory Supervisor

The Team Lead Technologist plays a pivotal role in driving the success of our laboratory team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating the work activities of our staff, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures, and driving the achievement of departmental goals and objectives.
Under the direct supervision of the assigned Pathology Manager, incumbents are subject to overtime and callback as required by the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the work activities of the laboratory staff
- Ensure adherence to established policies and procedures
- Drive the achievement of departmental goals and objectives
- Perform clinical laboratory testing following established guidelines
- Identify and resolve technical problems
- Maintain personal skill competencies and assure training and education needs are met
- Assure appropriate utilization of supplies to maintain cost-effective and efficient operation
- Participate in the laboratory's External Laboratory Proficiency Programs
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and completion of AMA approved program of Medical Technology
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures as normally acquired through 4 years medical technology experience
- Tennessee Medical Technology license
