Job Description

Job Title: Mechanical Inspector

Job Summary:

Verify is seeking a skilled Mechanical Inspector to join our team. As a Mechanical Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies to ensure they meet engineering requirements and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies to ensure they meet engineering requirements and specifications.
  • Inspect parts to engineering drawings, customer purchase orders, industry standards, and specifications.
  • Report inspection accept/reject information directly to the customer via web application.
  • Conduct First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with the AS9102 standard.
  • Use various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers and calipers, to conduct inspections.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and Purchase Orders (POs).
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve any inspection-related issues.

Requirements:

  • Practical experience performing in-process and final inspections on complex machined parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and Purchase Orders (POs).
  • Experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, such as ANSI Y14.5 – Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
  • Experience conducting First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with the AS9102 standard.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Computer savvy and ability to work independently.

Working Conditions:
