Role Summary:

The Veterinary Care Specialist will play a crucial role in our outpatient services. This position requires a well-rounded individual with a strong background in veterinary care. You will assist veterinarians during patient consultations and perform various tasks while effectively communicating with clients about vaccination protocols, preventive care, and medical histories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver compassionate care to animals and their owners.
  • Demonstrate expertise in vaccinations, blood sampling, and specimen collection.
  • Conduct specialized testing procedures, including ACTH Stim and Bile Acids.
  • Administer vaccinations and perform venipuncture with proficiency.
  • Safely and effectively restrain animals for examinations and procedures.
  • Assist in obtaining diagnostic imaging through digital radiography.
  • Dispense medications as prescribed and support pharmacy operations.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records and documentation.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of cages and equipment.
  • Provide assistance at the front desk when necessary.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned.

Work Schedule:

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Veterinary Technician (required)
