Microbiology CLIA Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Microbiology CLIA Director to join our team at the Ohio Department of Health. As a key member of our Public Health Laboratory, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our microbiology testing services.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, direct, and manage the Bureau of Public Health Laboratory in all activities related to Microbiology testing.
- Supervise supervisory personnel and develop laboratory budget and monitor expenditures.
- Participate in developing new programs, methodologies, and tests, and develop, implement, and enforce laboratory policies, procedures, and performance standards.
- Oversee all laboratory testing and research activities and provide scientific expertise to staff for all human-related specimens.
- Provide continuous feedback and training, and ensure that staff is qualified and cross-trained to provide consistent and timely services.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in microbiology and laboratory management, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills. You will also need to be certified in anatomic or clinical pathology, or possess qualifications that are equivalent to those required for such certification.
