Newborn Screening CLIA Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CLIA Director to lead our Newborn Screening program at the Ohio Department of Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall operation and administration of the laboratory, ensuring compliance with CLIA regulations, and providing scientific expertise to staff.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and direct laboratory personnel, ensuring they are competent to perform test procedures and record results accurately.
- Develop and implement laboratory policies, procedures, and performance standards to ensure compliance with CLIA and other regulatory requirements.
- Oversee all laboratory testing and research activities, providing scientific expertise and guidance to staff.
- Ensure timely review and approval of laboratory procedures, safety manuals, and proficiency testing results.
- Develop strategic planning initiatives to improve laboratory operations and services.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in laboratory management, a deep understanding of CLIA regulations, and excellent leadership and communication skills. You will also need to be certified in anatomic or clinical pathology or possess equivalent qualifications.
