Job Summary

The Executive Sous Chef is a key member of the culinary team, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service in our kitchens. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and inspire a team of cooks, sous chefs, and other kitchen staff to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking techniques to ensure consistency and quality across all kitchen outlets.
  • Lead and manage a team of cooks, sous chefs, and other kitchen staff to achieve high levels of productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and labor expenses to ensure profitability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and other senior chefs to develop and implement new menu concepts, recipes, and cooking techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and hygiene regulations, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Develop and implement training programs for kitchen staff to improve skills, knowledge, and performance.
  • Monitor and evaluate kitchen performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as front-of-house, to ensure seamless service and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a senior kitchen management role, preferably in a high-end hotel or restaurant.
  • Proven track record of success in leading and managing a team of cooks, sous chefs, and other kitchen staff.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, health, and hygiene regulations, and ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a high level of attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
