Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and dispatch drivers, work crews, vehicles, or equipment to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules, customer requests, or immediate needs.
  • Review and respond to emails from internal and external customers, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Review and prioritize daily workflow and expected customer and facility needs, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Verify booking information, BOL information, container availability, vessel receiving, and vessel cut-offs before dispatching Owner-Operators into terminals.
  • Set up appointments and Quick Gates with terminals for import loads as required.
  • Ensure equipment availability before dispatching Owner-Operators and coordinate delivery appointments with external customers.
  • Record container moves of all Owner-Operators for real-time representation of container locations and status.
  • Coordinate container and chassis moves between facilities to ensure efficient equipment movement.
  • Daily review and reconciliation of facility yard reports and input Owner-Operator logs into the MP proprietary system.
  • Record all accessorial charges, including terminal standby, incurred by Owner-Operators and track container free time to minimize per diem detention charges.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with others under any condition.
  • Ability to multitask with different, and sometimes conflicting, events happening at the same time.
  • Proficiency with computer technology, company-specific programs, and GPS monitoring programs.
  • Ability to relay information and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
  • Pass drug testing and background checking.
