KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engages with team members and patrons, embodying our unique spirit known as "Tropitude"—a blend of energy and positivity that sets Tropical Smoothie Café apart.
  • Provides guidance and verbal direction to team members.
  • Ensures that high-quality products are consistently delivered to customers.
  • Collaborates closely with the general manager on daily operational tasks.
  • Aids the general manager in managing inventory and stock levels.
  • Delivers exceptional service to every customer visiting our café.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in all roles within the café.
  • Completes the Café Basics Training Program and remains updated on our online training platform, The Blend.
  • Successfully finishes the Serv Safe Class and maintains Serv Safe Certification.
  • Ensures that all positions meet Tropical Smoothie Café's operational standards.
  • Trains and mentors team members during shifts to uphold brand standards.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Utilizes tools effectively to achieve objectives, manage labor, and oversee inventory.
  • Performs any additional tasks necessary for the smooth operation of the café.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 1 year of experience in the food service industry.
  • Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Consistent work history.
  • Self-driven with a strong desire for career advancement.
  • Legally authorized to work in accordance with State and Federal regulations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Continuous standing and walking throughout each shift.
  • Regular face-to-face interactions with team members and customers.
  • Ability to bend, lift, and carry up to 30 pounds for tasks such as stocking and waste disposal.
  • Safely navigate a fast-paced café environment.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a positive attitude in potentially stressful situations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Shifts typically range from six to eight hours, though this may vary.
  • Assistant Managers should be prepared for early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and/or holiday shifts, including additional opening and closing responsibilities.
  • Lead team members by exemplifying Tropical Smoothie Café's core values in all interactions.
  • Adhere to Tropical Smoothie Café's uniform and personal hygiene policies during each shift.
  • Experience a fun, fast-paced, and energetic environment without fryers.
