Physical Therapy Assistant PRN

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing treatment and rehabilitative services to patients to improve mobility, relieve pain, and disability under the direction of the Physical Therapist.
Responsibilities- Conduct patient education, including post-care planning, proper use of supportive devices and equipment, and gait and functional training.
- Record, monitor, analyze, and review clinical data. Provide feedback to the therapist regarding possible modifications to the treatment plan and goals based on patient performance.
- Collaborate with patient service departments and community service agencies to coordinate and conduct educational outreach programs and learning activities.
- Associate of Science (A.S) degree or Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Experience in an appropriate healthcare setting is preferred.
- Current state of Florida Physical Therapy Assistant license.
- Current FIM (Functional Independence Measure) required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) through American Heart Association (AHA).
- Critical thinking and adaptability; services excellence and good interpersonal communication skills; ability to read/comprehend written instructions; ability to follow verbal and written instructions; PC skills.
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.
