Position Summary


We are in search of a Certified Respiratory Therapist PRN to ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient care to all patients.

Job Responsibilities and Qualifications


The Certified Respiratory Therapist is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care in alignment with departmental requirements and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty.

As an integral member of the patient care team, the Certified Respiratory Therapist conducts various diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures while monitoring patients receiving both invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.

Current Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure is required.
American Heart Association BLS health care provider certification is mandatory. ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
Graduate of a Respiratory Care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
Physical demands include frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and moving equipment.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be capable of functioning in a high-pressure environment and responding appropriately in volatile situations.
Customer service skills, including effective listening, are essential.

Your Responsibilities May Include:


You will be tasked with the application and operation of acute care ventilators utilized for both short and long-term mechanical ventilation.

You must demonstrate self-direction in the absence of the full-time Team Leader.

You will maintain all departmental and hospital records, ensuring accurate information is entered into the hospital computer system for the therapies administered.

You will perform your duties with care and empathy for our patients.
