Respiratory Therapist RRT PRN

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist RRT PRN to join our team at HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.
Responsibilities- Evaluate the respiratory needs of patients and develop and implement individualized Respiratory Care Plans.
- Apply and operate acute care ventilators for continuous short and long-term mechanical ventilation.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient therapy and treatment.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
- Perform diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for and response to respiratory therapy.
- Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
- Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
- Respond to emergent patient situations and ensure airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation.
- Current Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure.
- American Heart Association BLS health care provider certification.
- ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications within 6 months of hire.
- Graduate of a Respiratory Care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Customer service abilities, including effective listening skills.
