Position Overview The **Administrative Support Coordinator** plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive administrative assistance to the Public Safety sector, encompassing the University Police, Emergency Management, and Transportation departments. This position is integral in facilitating the management of scheduling, travel documentation, financial reporting, and confidential initiatives. The role necessitates ongoing professional engagement with university stakeholders, including students, staff, faculty, and visitors.

In addition, the coordinator will support the ECC supervisor in executing and recording training sessions, maintaining training documentation, organizing training activities, and serving as the agency ATAC.

This role is also expected to provide telecommunication support as necessary, which may involve working during limited holidays, weekends, or evenings.

The **Administrative Support Coordinator** must be proficient in all ECC program operations and usage.

Maintaining a valid DCI certification and completing annual in-service training, along with any additional required certifications, is essential.

Responsibilities also include managing the agency's vehicle fleet, which involves invoicing, billing, and coordinating maintenance activities. Confidentiality and discretion are paramount in this position.
This role is classified as essential personnel.

**Minimum Qualifications**: A high school diploma or equivalent along with one year of relevant office experience; or a comparable combination of training and experience.

**Preferred Qualifications**: A Bachelor's Degree coupled with 3-5 years of experience in administrative and office management is highly desirable.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in various office software including Word, Excel, Access, Google Suite, Adobe, PowerPoint, and website management, along with a willingness to learn, are also preferred.

Experience in budget and fund management is advantageous.

Familiarity with the Banner system is preferred.
The ability to handle multiple priorities effectively is crucial.

Previous experience in higher education and emergency communications dispatch is a plus.

Candidates must be a Notary Public in North Carolina or be capable of obtaining such certification.

**Work Schedule**: Typical hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. However, to accommodate departmental needs, evenings, weekends, mandatory staffing days, or early mornings may be required.
