About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Loan Processor and Title Specialist to join our team at M/I Homes. In this role, you will be responsible for processing loan files for closing, meeting with buyers and sellers, and ensuring that all loan documents are signed by all parties involved in the sales contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Review sales contracts and create title files in SoftPro software, requesting a title exam as needed.
  • Review title insurance commitments and surveys to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare deeds and seller's affidavits, as well as Closing Disclosure/Settlement Statements using sales contracts and lender instructions.
  • Receive and review lender loan documents, ensuring completeness and accuracy, and prepare them for closing.
  • Meet with buyers and sellers to obtain signatures on loan documents, deed, and seller's affidavit, and ship signed and notarized loan packages to lenders.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate, college degree preferred, with 3-5 years of experience in the title insurance field.
  • Licensed notary in the State of Ohio.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to elicit, analyze, and evaluate given information from buyers, sellers, and lenders.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, including typing, filing, and use of computer, calculator, copier, and facsimile machines.
