Position Overview

Role Purpose:
To deliver outstanding customer service to our patrons and contributors, ensuring a tidy and well-organized shopping environment. This role involves processing transactions with precision and care.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain a professional appearance, adhering to the established dress code at all times.
- Effectively manage a personal cash drawer, including opening, closing, and balancing it according to organizational procedures.
- Gain proficiency in the Point of Sale system, ensuring efficient and accurate sales transactions within the first three months of employment.
- Uphold cleanliness in the cash register area and throughout the store, including tasks such as cleaning, organizing, and restocking as required.
- Exhibit a friendly demeanor, welcoming customers and offering assistance as needed.
- Comply with all organizational policies regarding merchandise sales.
- Ensure the sales floor is well-stocked and assist in meeting daily production goals.
- Availability for a flexible work schedule is essential.

Minimum Qualifications:
The following criteria represent the minimum education, experience, skills, and abilities required for this position.

Education: High School Diploma or currently pursuing equivalent education.

Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in spoken and written English for effective communication with customers, management, and colleagues.
- Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with the Point of Sale system and other relevant software.
- Accurate cash handling skills.

Physical Requirements:

- Regularly required to stand, use hands, and communicate effectively.
- Frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:
This position is situated in a retail store environment with a moderate noise level. Conditions may include dust and temperature variations based on external weather.

Compensation: $12.00 per hour / Night Shift
