Procurement Specialist Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Albireo Energy. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and negotiating with suppliers, managing inventory, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers of goods and services
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, including price, quality, and delivery deadlines
  • Liaise with project managers and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
  • Manage inventory levels and monitor the flow of goods to ensure positive stock levels
  • Participate in cycle counting and inventory management activities as needed
  • Attend meetings with corporate purchasing to ensure contractual obligations are favorable to the company
  • Work closely with the projects team to understand procurement requirements and ensure timely delivery of goods and services

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent working experience
  • Proven experience working as a procurement specialist in a similar area
  • Additional certification in procurement desired
  • Strong knowledge of the industry and market conditions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrable negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and rapport building
  • Flexible to work long hours as demanded by projects
  • Able to travel to meet vendors and suppliers as necessary
