Procurement Manager Opportunity at DAHLIN

DAHLIN Architecture | Planning | Interiors is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team in the SAN DIEGO, CA office.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, preferably within the interior design or furniture industry, and excellent negotiation skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to support the company's goals and objectives in commercial interior design and build projects.
  • Source, evaluate, and select suppliers and subcontractors based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Negotiate and establish favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, delivery schedules, and service level agreements.
  • Manage supplier relationships and conduct regular performance evaluations to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, architects, and designers, to identify project requirements and specifications.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive supplier database, including supplier capabilities, product specifications, and pricing information.
  • Monitor market trends and developments to identify new suppliers, materials, and technologies that could enhance the company's competitiveness and cost efficiency.
  • Lead the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of project requirements.
  • Oversee the preparation of purchase orders, contracts, and other procurement documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely payment of suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Monitor and analyze procurement data, such as spend, savings, and supplier performance, to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
  • Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to procurement and supply chain management.
  • Provide guidance and support to the procurement team, including training, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Attend Interior Design team meetings and provide client updates.

Requirements:

  • 5 or more years of proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar procurement role within the interior design or furniture industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States without any restrictions or visa sponsorship.

Salary Range: $80,000 to $105,000 depending on qualifications.
