Position Overview: RN Unit Manager
Facility: Seagate Rehabilitation and Nursing Center
Compensation: Up to $115,000

Role Summary:
As the RN Unit Manager at Seagate Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, you will be essential in assisting the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in delivering exceptional care to our residents. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a nurturing and professional atmosphere for both residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the DON and ADON in managing the daily functions of the Nursing Department, ensuring adherence to current regulations and facility standards.
- Ensure compliance with job descriptions and responsibilities among nursing staff.
- Address and resolve any complaints or issues raised by department personnel, reporting to the DON as necessary.
- Lead and manage your designated unit, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Work alongside the DON to ensure adequate nursing coverage around the clock, optimizing staffing and minimizing overtime and agency personnel reliance.
- Implement progressive counseling procedures and recommend disciplinary actions as needed, following facility policies.
- Provide professional guidance and oversight to both professional and non-professional staff within the unit.
- Engage in committee meetings and quality assurance initiatives, contributing to ongoing improvement efforts.
- Demonstrate and instruct nursing skills, ensuring high standards of care for residents.
- Oversee the completion of MDS (Minimum Data Set) documentation for the unit.
- Collaborate on discharge planning with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Prepare reports, review documentation, and assist with data collection as required.
- Participate in staff recruitment processes, including interviewing and selecting nursing personnel.
- Ensure that residents and their families receive the highest quality of service in a compassionate and caring environment.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in the State of New York.
- At least 2 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
