Job Summary

The role involves collecting and synthesizing data from multiple sources; ensuring data accuracy and consistency for thorough analysis. You will deliver precise, relevant data along with insights and definitions available for examination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a key resource for assigned clients in your area of expertise.
  • Collect and organize raw data, conduct research on industry trends and benchmarks, and standardize data for integration into a unified format.
  • Analyze, report, and compare findings against industry/company benchmarks, identifying trends and preparing cost analyses.
  • Establish data definitions and document any limitations associated with the data.
  • Create spreadsheets for data analysis and generate reports featuring charts, graphs, mailing lists, maps, and other ad hoc requests. May accompany management to meetings to support presentations.
  • Offer recommendations based on your analyses and findings. Contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Engage in departmental and cross-departmental projects.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Nature and Scope
  • Identify key challenges and apply problem-solving skills to creatively address complex situations. Troubleshoot and resolve intricate issues. Make informed decisions under uncertain conditions, sometimes with incomplete information, leading to effective outcomes.
  • Independently manage assignments with guidance limited to expected results. Determine and devise approaches to solutions. Seek technical advice only for unusual or complex problems.
  • May oversee project completion, including planning, assigning, monitoring, and reviewing work progress and accuracy, as well as evaluating results. Contribute to the professional growth of team members without having hiring or firing authority.
Work Environment
  • Work is conducted in a comfortable indoor setting, with infrequent and non-objectionable unpleasant conditions.
  • Most time is spent seated comfortably, with frequent opportunities for movement. Rarely, there may be a need to lift light items.
  • No travel is required.
Education and Experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is typically required. Generally, 5-8 years of experience in a related area OR a Master’s degree with 3-5 years of experience in a related field. Certification may be necessary in certain areas.
Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
- Experience in consulting, banking, a Big 4 accounting firm, or a corporate finance environment.
- Familiarity with ERP and CPM systems such as Oracle, SAP, OneStream, Hyperion, Workday, Anaplan, or BPA, with the ability to leverage these tools for financial and data analysis.
- Practical experience in forecasting and financial statement analysis.
- Experience in developing financial models to aid strategic decision-making and long-term planning.
